Privacy Policy for Security Cameras
We use security cameras on the premises and in the building of Laidoneri KV OÜ (hereinafter referred to as the hotel) to protect various data subjects (including guests, employees, employees and representatives of cooperation partners), to ensure safety, and to verify compliance with internal rules.
The hotel uses cameras in compliance with all applicable data protection legislation. In protecting personal data, the hotel primarily adheres to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR). The hotel uses cameras solely for lawful purposes and when a suitable legal basis exists under Article 6(1) of the GDPR. Legal basis for using cameras: Legitimate interest.
Security cameras are positioned in such a way that the surveillance area covers the entrances, three exterior sides of the building, common areas (inner atrium, restaurant, terrace), and the kitchen. Consequently, guests and other visitors present in these areas will be within the surveillance zone and recorded on video.
Brief description of the surveillance system: 24/7 digital real-time recording without audio capability, with playback functionality.
Access to camera recordings is restricted strictly to the hotel management and employees for whom access is necessary to perform their work duties in a specific situation. The hotel ensures that unauthorized persons do not gain access to camera recordings by applying strict access restrictions.
The hotel does not transfer personal data collected by cameras to third parties, except to investigative authorities when required by law. The hotel may also transfer personal data to its service providers used in its business operations. These include authorized processors, such as BRS Networks Baltics AS – the company providing video surveillance services to the hotel.
Camera recordings are stored for 2 weeks, after which they are automatically deleted. In the event of a security incident, the recording relevant to the incident will be retained until the matter is resolved.
The hotel may make changes to these Privacy Conditions if the purposes or conditions of camera usage change. The current Privacy Conditions are always available on the hotel website and at the reception desk.
